12 linear metres into rolls?
This works for me. I am working with 12ft. width rolls. I divide the square yards by 1.333333. If you have 4ft. width rolls, you divide by 0.444444, 6ft. width you divide by 0.666666. Therefore, in this method you need to know at least one other dimension.
Rolls are generally worse when it is humid. Regardless, rolls in the carpet mean it needs to be stretched. You can rent a carpet kicker, but a pro would be best. They should be using a power stretcher. More often then not when a carpet gets wrinkles or rolls it was because it was not power stretched when installed. Another possibility is heavy furniture was dragged across. Make sure when the carpet is stretched it is first pulled back to make sure the pad is not bunched up as well.
sq.ft. carpet = 5 rolls x 12ft wide x length of roll in feet.
Who cares if she put padding in her outfits.
carpet tiles are stored & sold flat carpet that is rolled out is called Broadloom & is usually 12' wide
The answer will depend on whether the quote is for just the carpet or includes ancillary costs including fitting. Also, the quote appears to be for a linear measure but it is unlikely that the same price per yard is used for different rolls.
Carpet is usually handled in rolls that are 12 feet wide, so 194 linear feet of carpet would be 12 x 194, or 2328 square feet. However, the most common measurement for carpet is square yards in the US, so you would divide 2328 sq. ft. by 9 sq. ft. to get the square yards, about 259. That would be enough carpet to cover an area 16 yards by 16 yards.
Carpet tiles shown for sample purposes are not used in the actual flooring. Carpet used in flooring comes in long rolls.
If you know the width of the wallpaper rolls, then area = length x width so thatlength, or linear metres = area (in sq metres) / width (in metres).
Carpet is made on a big machine that threads the fibres together by weaving them in and out all along the width of the machine. As it goes up and down the machine rolls it up onto a plastic or cardboard tube.
The question is underspecified. So the answer is either:wallpaper rolls that add up to 450 metres in length, or450 times the cost of one linear metre of the wall paper.
