Yes it is, let me explain it in simple way to learn it forever as I learnt it in same way
a -ve number is enemy
a +ve number is friend
so
-ve (enemy) x +ve (enemy's friend) is all your enemy (-ve)
-ve (enemy) x -ve (enemy's enemy) is always your friend i.e. +ve
+ve (friend) x +ve (friend's friend) is always your friend i.e. +ve
+ve (friend) x -ve (friend's enemy) is always your enemy i.e. -ve
I am sure above trick will help you learn it forever :)
keep it up

UPDATE from Maddster16:
AND theres another way that my Math teacher taught me. It's something called: The Love-Hate Relationship. How well to people get along? Here's an example:
A negative and a negative person find each other. Is this a good or bad thing?
Good. Positive. They will get along. Here's how you could write this in math-form:
-8 x -2 = 16
(Negative eight times [or multiplied] by negative two equals sixteen)

Negative.
No - it results in a negative number.
-10 x -5 = +50A negative times a negative will always equal a positive number.A negative times a positive will always equal a negative number.A positive times a positive will always equal a positive number.- x - = +- x + = -+ x + = +
A negative number times a positive number will give you a negative product.A negative number times a positive number will give you a negative product.A negative number times a positive number will give you a negative product.A negative number times a positive number will give you a negative product.
No it doesn't. If the n is a negative number, it would equal a positive number. For example: -n=6 n must be -6 because a negative times negative equals positive.
