a -ve number is enemy

a +ve number is friend

so

-ve (enemy) x +ve (enemy's friend) is all your enemy (-ve)

-ve (enemy) x -ve (enemy's enemy) is always your friend i.e. +ve

+ve (friend) x +ve (friend's friend) is always your friend i.e. +ve

+ve (friend) x -ve (friend's enemy) is always your enemy i.e. -ve

A negative and a negative person find each other. Is this a good or bad thing?

Good. Positive. They will get along. Here's how you could write this in math-form:

-8 x -2 = 16

(Negative eight times [or multiplied] by negative two equals sixteen)
