Well I have been thinking about it and I thought it might be...=well it might be when you go shopping i guess...well I mean...DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!! I'm under enough pressure as it is...well i gues you have to look on Google...sorry I coun't be much help...come back tomorrow and we will have a milkshake! BYE!=
ℚ (fancy capital Q) is the set of rational numbers.
Irrational numbers are used in some scientific jobs. Commonly used irrational numbers are pi, e, and square roots of different numbers. Of course, if an actual numerical result has to be calculated, the irrational number is rounded to some rational (usually decimal) approximation.
The number 8 out of 23 is a rational. This is used in math.
A googleplex. It's a 1 with a hundred zeros. NO. A googol (not google) is 1 followed by 100 zeros. A googolplex is 1 followed by a googol zeros. In any case, neither is the largest rational number. There cannot be a largest rational number since one more than that is going to be bigger. But there are some numbers that have been used in serious mathematical studies and that do have names which are far larger. See, for example the wikipedia entry for large numbers (link below).
i only have a little bit because i needed an answer also but her are some thermometer taxes sales fractions of food sorry thats all i got
A.(Integers) (Rational numbers)B.(Rational numbers) (Integers)C.(Integers) (Rational numbers)D.(Rational numbers) (Real numbers)
Rational numbers are used in a hospital setting to prescribe dosage of drugs.
For giving the air temperature as in a weather forecast.
The letter R was used for real numbers. So Q, for quotients was used for rational numbers.
Rational numbers are numbers which can be written in the form p/q where p and q are integers and q > 0. Rationals is often used as an abbreviation to refer to the set of all rational numbers.
A rational number is a number that can be written in the form a/b, where "a" and "b" are integers and b is not equal to zero. For example, whole numbers are rational numbers.
Negative rational numbers are used in the same way that negative whole numbers are used: they are simply the additive inverses of their positive counterparts.
There are multiple uses and application of negative numbers. They are used on a daily basis when describing temperature and in banking. For example, an overdrawn balance will be reported in negative amounts.

they really aren't used in our daily lives... unless you are a mathematician or a math teacher but they are also used in our life so as to do our buiseness
Irrational numbers can not be expressed as fractions whereas rational numbers can be expressed as fractions
R was used for Real numbers. Q, for rational numbers refers to the fact that it must be possible to express them as quotients [of two integers].
