Not exactly a well phrased question. However if this is what you mean then add up all the minutes and divide by 60. This (even if it's a decimal) is the amount of hours worked. However if you want the amount of hours and minutes then take the decimal number if there is one then multiply it by 60 and you will have the hours and the minutes concecutively.

You can use Excel to calculate hours worked.

Enter the time worked in an hh:mm format

Example:

Type in Cell A1- - - 8:00 am

Type in Cell B1- - - 5:00 pm

Type in Cell C1- - - =SUM(B1-A1)*24

Change the cell format of C1 to "Number" with 2 decimal places.

Theresa worked 9 hours on monday and 7 hours on Wednesday her total pay was116.00 what is her rate per hour?

To solve this we must first assume that her rate of pay was constant through both of these days. (If she worked any overtime, than she might make more money during her overtime hours. If this is the case, there is not sufficient information to solve this problem. The next step is to calculate how many hours she worked in total. 9 + 7 = 16 hours. Then, we divide the amount of money earned by the number of hours worked. $116 / 16 = $7.25 per hour.

How do you compute overtime?

The details may vary, depending on the laws of the corresponding jurisdiction, and on what has been agreed upon. But in general, you need to calculate how many hours an employee worked, and subtract, from that, the number of hours he was supposed to work.
