You can change any fraction into a percent regardless of the size of the denominator. Simply divide the numerator by the denominator and then multiply by 100.
Ex: 75/150 to percentage:
(75 divided by 150) x 100 = 50%
(different person answering) actually there's an easier way then that. all you have to do is divide the numerator by the denominator then change it to a percent by moving the decimal over to the right two times.
ex:(same ex. ) 75\150 you should get 0.5 so move the decimal over to the right twice, add a zero in the space and you get 50% ( it is the same answer but i find this way easier )
:) hope i helped !
You need at least one more fraction in order to have a common denominator.
Yes, it can be. If the numerator is 0. Then suppose the denominator is 3, which is bigger than 0 (double the numerator). So the value of the fraction is 0/3 = 0.
Any fraction where the numerator is larger than the denominator (improper fraction.) 3/2 can also be written as 1 1/2.
Let x = numerator and x +24 = denominator x/ (x+24) = 13; 13x + 312 = x ; 12x =-312; x = - 26 (negative26) which is the numerator
To add two (or more) fractions together:Find a common denominator (bottom number) by multiplying both the numerator (top number) and the denominator as necessary.Add the numerators together, over the same denominator.Simplify the fraction, if need be, or for ease.
It is 2 74/100 %. This fraction could be simplified but it is probably more useful in this form - with 100 as the denominator.
First, find a common denominator for the two (or more) fractions. Then, for each fraction, multiply numerator and denominator by the same number (different numbers for different fractions, though), to convert to the common denominator.
a numerator can be more than the denominator but, if it is it is a improper fraction. so the numerator is less than the denominator do the fraction can be proper.
Whatever you multiply or divide the numerator by, you must do the same to the denominator. If you multiply or divide the numerator and denominator by different numbers, you change the value of the fraction and turn it into a different number. After that, nothing is "equivalent" any more ... you're working with a changed number.
It is a compound fraction.
17/(2*17+2) = 17/36
Double the numerator. If the answer is greater than the denominator then the fraction is greater than half.Double the numerator. It is a fraction in its reduced or simplest from.
That's a complex fraction.
That's a complex fraction.
A proper fraction is one in which the numerator is less than the denominator. That means that the value of the fraction is less than '1', so it can't be changedto a whole number. If you have an IMPROPER fraction ... one in which the numerator is more than the denominator ...then it can be changed to a whole number plus a proper fraction, like this:-- Divide the numerator by the denominator, to get the whole number, and a remainder.-- Write the proper fraction. Keep the original denominator, place the remainder in the numerator.
That doesn't happen. A common denominator is the result of combining two or more denominators.
