If the number in sci. notation has a positive exponent, move the decimal to the right the same number of spaces as the exponent's number.

For example: 5.78 x 103 = 5780

If the exponent is negative, move the decimal to the left the same number of spaces as the exponent's number.

For example: 2.945 x 10-5 = 0.00002945
