The integral function of calculus is the method for determining the area under a curve. The limiting chord process is the "simple" math understanding required to learn the "complex" function of "integration". BTW: the derivative function is a "cousin" of the integral function which is used to determine the slope of curve at a given point.

What is the line that cross a circle but not a diameter called?

I believe that is called a chord. Yes, a chord is the straight line segment that crosses a circle, from one side of the circle to the other. The biggest possible chord is the diameter. The curved part of the circle, cut off by the chord [or chords], is the arc or the angle.

How do you play music and sing?

synchronize everytone you sing to a chord you are playing on the guitar or piano. Sing one tone per chord, then two per chord, then find out (feel) where you are comfortable changing vocal tones within the chord progression you are playing. keep it simple and don't make it a project, but a process. i-love-guitar.com.

What joins two points on a circle?

A chord and the diameter is the largest chord of a circle. A2. Remember, the circle is the bit inside the curved line, NOT the curved line. [A circle is bounded by ... .] From any two points on a circle, you could erect a variety of lines, of which the shortest for any given quest would be a straight line. The other natural line joining two points would be the arc joining two points on the perimeter of a circle. * * * * * Actually, I believe that a circle IS the curved line. A circle is defined as the locus of all points that are at a constant distance from a fixed point (the centre). This is the boundary of the circle, not its interior.
