If you have a calculator, you should...
1. type the number you are trying to cube
2. press a button that looks like this ^
3. press 3 and then enter.
If you mean the other one...
1. Get a TI-84 calculator
2. turn it on
3. press 2nd
4. press 0
5. press 3
6. look for something that looks like...
____
3\/(
7. press enter.
8. type the number you want in the parenthesis
9. close the parenthesis
10. press enter.
for a cube root symbol hold down the ALT button and type 0179 and a little symbol should appear looking like ³ this it's actually the cubed root symbol, not an s!
The radical symbol √ (with a line over what you're taking a root of) denotes root. The symbol without any other numbers, means square root, while with a number like 3√ means take cube root, 4√ fourth root, etc.If you want to type this symbol in Windows, hold down the key on the keyboard, then type (on the number pad) 251, then let go of the key.You can also denote roots by fractional exponents: 1/2 power is the square root,1/3 power is the cube root, etc and this works if you have an xy (exponentiation)key on your calculator and want to compute roots. The symbol used to make a root is √
To type the square root symbol on ypur keyboard press and hold alt and type 251.
It means it is a different kind of root, such as a cubic root, which has a three above the square root symbol ('radical sign'). If y is the square root of x, it means that y2 = x. So the square root of 4 is 2, and 22 is 4. If y is the cube root of x, it means that y3 = x. So the cube root of 8 is 2, and 23 = 8.
2 cube root 24 plus 3 cube root 81 is 18.7492444

Throw your computer out the window then step on it and set it on fire

The general case is just called "Root" and it continues to increase to "Square Root" then to "Cube Root" and so on.
The cube root of a number is a value that, when multiplied by itself three times, gives that original number. For example, the cube root of 27 is 3 because 3 x 3 x 3 = 27. It is denoted by the symbol ∛.
I do not know how to reproduce the symbol on here, but it looks like the square root symbol but with a small "3" written outside (in the top left corner). Please see the related link. Alternatively, you can use 1/3 to represent this. For example 81/3 means "the cube root of 8".
2 cube root 6
The cube root is the side of a cube.
To use the root button on a scientific calculator, first type the number you want to find the root of. Then, press the root button, which is usually denoted by a √ symbol. Finally, enter the index of the root, such as 2 for a square root or 3 for a cube root, and press equals (=) to get the result.
