The last answer was only half right. A googol is a 1 followed by 100 zeros. A googolplex is 10^googol. It is said that writing this number in long format, 10 pt font, would stretch across the galaxy.
I tried writing a CPP program that would write it out, but I gave up after my laptop battery died. I'm pretty sure a long integer stops are 2*10^9, therefore it wouldn't be possible in any programming language that I know of.
longest number most programming languages support = 2*10^9
googolplex = 1*10^100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
A googol is 10^100, and a googolplex is 10^googol, which is 10^(10^100). So, googolplex raised to the power of googolplex would be (10^(10^100))^(10^(10^100)). This can be simplified to 10^(10^100 * 10^(10^100)), which is an incredibly large number with 10^10000 digits.
There are one googol 0's in a googolplex.
No, Infinity is never ending, where as a googolplex is a fixed number.
The largest real number that has been named is googolplex. What about 10^googolplex or googolplex^googolplex? The answer comes from the theory of non-computable functions. Scott Aaronson from MIT has a brilliant essay about it. See below for related link
No googolplex is a number however infinity is not it is a word or a symbol
A googol is 10^100, and a googolplex is 10^googol, which is 10^(10^100). So, googolplex raised to the power of googolplex would be (10^(10^100))^(10^(10^100)). This can be simplified to 10^(10^100 * 10^(10^100)), which is an incredibly large number with 10^10000 digits.
Yes, googolplex is a number.
60 googolplex seconds
A googolplex is much much bigger then you can imagine because a googol is 100 zeros and a googolplex is 10 x 100 googols and you can not fit a googolplex within the entire unverse in font size 8.It is.... 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 yeah that long
Not by a long shot. The largest number is said to a googolplex (10 raised to the power of a googol) raised to the power of a googolplex. This number has enough zeros to fill the entire universe.
There are one googol 0's in a googolplex.
Live at the Googolplex was created on 2002-02-19.
Googolplex - 1972 was released on: USA: 1972
googolplex googol = 1100 googolplex = 1googol
A googol is 10^100. A googolplex is 10^googol
Googolplex is a larger number because -llion is smaller than g-
No, Infinity is never ending, where as a googolplex is a fixed number.
