1*10 + 2*4 + 5*6 + 4*3 = 10 + 8 + 30 + 12 = 60

A dodecagon is a polygon with 12 sides.
The question does not state that it is a regular hexagon and so you may not assume that it is. Therefore, there is no simple formula because a hexagon can have very many shapes. One method would be to pick a point in the plane of the hexagon and join it to all the vertices. This divides up the hexagon into triangles. Their areas can be calculated using base and height, or three sides, or two sides and included angle - whichever you like. Finally the areas of the triangles must be combined to get the area of the hexagon.

A hexagonal pyramid has a hexagonal base and six triangles that are connected to the sides of the hexagon.
Not necessarily.
Two triangles
All triangles have 3 sides but an hexagon has 6 sides
hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, undecagon, dodecagon .... etc
4 triangles make 1 hexagon. (easy way to find out how many triangles there are in a polygon- take number of sides of the polygon, subtract 2 from it, that's your answer!)
Well, 2-D shape is a square, or a quadrilateral
A dodecagon has 12 sides, a nonagon has 9, and quadrilateral has 4, and a triangle has 3. So in 1 dodecagon, 2 nonagons, 1 quadrilateral, and 4 triangles there are 1*12 + 2*9 + 1*4 + 4*3 = 12 + 18 + 4 + 12 = 46 sides altogether.
Heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, hendecagon, and dodecagon. There are many more.
There are 10 sides to a dodecagon and there are 12 sides on a dodecahedron. * * * * * There are, actually 12 sides to a dodecagon, not 10.
a dodecagon does have 12 sides
