0.3y + 1.2 = 0.4 x

Hence

0.4x - 0.3y - 1.2 = 0

or

0.4x - 0.3y = 1.2

To remove the decimal point multiply by '10' Hence

4x - 3y = 12

Make 'y' the subject

3y = 4x - 12

y = (4/3)x - 4
