Bring both numbers to the same number of decimal places by inserting suffix zeroes.

Hence

0.007 & 0.050 (They are both at three(3) decimal places).

Drop the decimal point

0007 & 0050

Drop the prefix zeroes 7 & 50

I think you will agree that 50 > 7 . Hence it follows that 0.05 > 0,007

#NB This method is good for comparison of decimals of any number of decimal places. e.g. 0.00003 & 0.0000005
