There are no units for the temperature. The temperature change could be 230 Celsius degrees or 170 Fahrenheit degrees (94 Celsius degrees). In fact they could be in less commonly used units: eg Reaumur.
If that is supposed to represent a temperature, it already IS in degrees (degrees Centigrade). If you want to convert to another temperature scale, please specify which one (Kelvin, Fahrenheit, Reaumur, etc.).

You need to provide a point of reference. If the temperature is 100 degrees F and drops to 50 degrees, that is still a comfortable temperature for most organisms. However, if the temperature is 50 degrees and drops to zero, many organisms would be adversely affected, especially if the temperature remained cold for an extended period.
