The 6th number of the Fibonacci sequence is 8.

0 + 0 = 0

0 + 1 = 1

1 + 1 = 2

1 + 2 = 3

2 + 3 = 5

3 + 5 = 8

Notice how it is the 6th equation meaning its the 6th Fibonacci number.

Note that some people like to use 1 twice instead of 0.
