That's over two thousand years during which the disciplines of math and its related sciences underwent wholesale changes on a regular basis. It's a great topic for a thesis or a research paper, but it's beyond the scope of our operation.
euclid wanted to prove that things were true by using logic and reason.

Euclid did not discover math. Math is and was an ongoing process of discovery of the relationship between all things that can be expressed with math formulas. Most of what the ancient Greeks did was based on geometry. Euclid gathered all the geometric information together and tried to systematize it so that it would be easier to understand and easier to learn and/or use. He did nothing with the other branches of math.
geometry
Euclid died in Alexandria, Egypt. Legend has it that he was working on geometry in a temple when a student interrupted him with a math problem, causing Euclid to exclaim, "There is no royal road to geometry!" before keeling over and passing away. Just kidding, he probably just died peacefully like the math legend he was.
Many ideas of mathematics began to form. During this time frame people began to see math as important and so many thinkers spent time trying to solve the worlds problems using math.
Math ;) x
Leonhard Euler made many contributions to math but the one thing he is most famous for is changing the base of the natural logarithim by using the letter e which is aka Euler's number
