Slopes can go all different ways. It all depends on the size of the slope.
The slope between any two points in a plane is the ratio of the difference in the vertical direction (the rise) and the difference in the horizontal direction (the run). Since it is a ratio, the difference in the horizontal direction may not be zero. However, the slope of a vertical line is considered to be "infinite". With that qualification, the slope between any two points on a plane can have any real value. The slope between any two distinct points on a graph is as defined above. The slope at a single point is defined only if the relevant function is differentiable at that point and it is the slope of the tangent to graph at that point.
A positive slope is simply a slope going upward on a graph from left to right. A negative slope is a slope going downward from left to right. Often, negative slopes are the reverse of positive slopes and are both depending on the person's direction.
The line has a negative slope (or negative gradient). When the angle between the line and the positive direction of Ox is obtuse then the slope is negative. Conversely, when the angle is acute, the slope is positive.
Speed (in the radial direction) = slope of the graph.
The slope of a graph is a measure of the rate at which it rises. It is measured as the "rise"/"run" which is the ratio of the increase in height for each unit move in the horizontal direction. The slope of a line going from bottom left to top right is positive. "M" stood for the Modulus of slope.
urban
horizontal direction to which a mountain slope faces
the slope which the direction of the wind blows.
If the slope (line)is in upward direction, it is called positive slope
The gentle slope is in the upwind direction. The downwind direction has a steep slope called a slip face.
A vertical line has an undefined slope.
The speed. Also, if a positive slope represents the speed in one direction, the negative slope is the speed in the opposite direction.
If you dont have slope then you cant tell
A line with a slope of zero is a flat, vertical line.
direction
In slope intercept form, m IS the slope. y = mx + b slope is change in height divided by change in x direction.
Parallel to the surface of the slope and opposite to the movement of an object on the slope. Parallel to the surface of the slope and up-slope, in the case of an object resting in place on the slope.
