The 'mean' is one of the three/four averages (depending on whether you include range or not). You calculate it by adding all the numbers up and dividing by the number of numbers. For example. If we are trying to find the mean of 1,3,5 and 7, we add them all up, making 16 and divide 16 by 4 (we used 4 numbers). Your answer is 4
