Oh, dude, if you were in Year 8, you'd be in 8th grade. Like, it's not rocket science. Just match up the years with the grades, and you're good to go. But hey, if you need a cheat sheet for that, I can hook you up!

The average age for a child in the fourth grade is typically around 9 to 10 years old.
Depending on the child's date of birth, and if s/he started Kindergarten at age 5, s/he would be 8 or 9 years old when in grade 3. The trend in recent years for some people has been to put off Kindergarten until the child is 6 years old, so s/he would be 9 or 10 years old when in grade 3.

An eight year old is usually in 2nd or 3rd grade. Normally you begin 2nd grade at age 7 and turn 8 during the school year or the summer after, and then begin 3rd grade at age 8. But it would be possible for an 8 year old to still be in 1st grade if they were held back a year, or they could even be in 4th grade if they started school early, skipped a grade, or if their state has a later cut-off date for starting kindergarten (since the normal age to start is 5, but some states have cutoff dates as late as December, meaning the child could still be 4 and not even turn 5 till December...so that would make the child still only 8 by the time they start 4th grade).
Type your answer here... Can a child make there first communion at age 7 or 8 if they said back in the first grade?
a young child
Every parent is different. I would say at least 10. My parents haven't had the talk with me and im turning 10 in three months! Children these days are recieving sex education throughout grade 7 and 8. If you have not had the talk with your child at this point, their teachers will by the age of 13-15.
grade 6-8
yes the child of 12 years of age does need a passport, i think the age that you need a passport is 8 years of age. No, the passport would not generate enough resistance to provide lift. The child would probably need wings to fly.
By this, you could mean a lot of things. What is the average age of a piano student studying at university, or the average age of a piano student that is, say, grade 5? If you mean what is the average age for a piano student to be grade 8, for example, I would say probably about in their early 20s (If they have been studying since in their teens, which is about average). Some people get to grade 8 standard much earlier. I have been playing the piano since I was 4 and I am currently grade 7, aged 13. For me to be grade 8 standard it could take a few years but I am aiming for age 15.
