Hence

100 P = 16.161616....

Subtract

99P = 16 ( Note the recurring decimals to infinity subtract out).

P = 16/99

However, if you mean

0.166666....

Then

10P = 1.66666....

&

100P = 16.6666...

Subtract

90P = 15

P = 15/90

P = 1/6

Suppose F = 0.1666...

then 10F = 1.6666...

Subtracting the first from the second gives: 9F = 1.5 si that F = 1.5/9 = 1/6
