Mean: add the numbers and divide by how many numbers there are:

mean = (13 + 11 + 7 + 4 + 5 + 4 + 8) ÷7 = 52 ÷ 7 = 7 3/7 ≈ 7.429

Median: sort the numbers into order and the median is the one in the middle:

{13, 11, 7, 4, 5, 4, 8} → {4, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13} → median = 7

Mode: the most frequent.

Using the sorted list from the median calculation, it is easy to see that the number 4 appears twice, but the other numbers only appear once → mode = 4

mode is the only average that does not have to be a number; for example a survey of people's favourite drinks may have one which is more popular than the others, in which case that is the "mode drink".

What is the mean median mode and range for 13 13 17 18 and 19?

Mean: 16 Median: 17 Mode: 13 Range: 6

What is 11 13 3 3 4 3 6 6 1 1 4 3?

A set of twelve numbers, with a mean value of 45/6, a median of 3, and a mode of 3.

What is a set of data in which the mean is 15 the median is 15 and the mode is 13 and 15?

Remember what each of these terms represent. Mean = Mathematical Average Median = Middle value (exactly half of values are above and below) Mode = Most frequent value There are multiple possible answers, however here is one: 13, 13, 15, 15, 19 The mean is: (13 + 13 + 15 + 15 + 19)/5 = 75/5 = 15 The middle value (the median) is 15. Another way to say this is that, if we were to list all the values as shown above there are two before 15 and two after 15; therefore the median is 15. In this data set the value 13 occurs twice, 15 occurs twice, and 19 occurs once. Both 13 and 15 occur the most frequently therefore they are both the mode.

What is the mean median mode range of 89 76 85 76 77 84?

For median the list needs to be sorted into increasing order, but doing so also helps with the range and mode, so I'll do that first: {89, 76, 85, 76, 77, 84} → {76, 76, 77, 84, 85, 89} Mean: add them up and divide the sum by how many numbers there are: mean = (89 + 76 + 85 + 76 + 77 + 84) / 6 = 81 1/6 ≈ 81.167 Median: middle number when listed in order; if there are an even number of data items, then the median is the mean average of the middle two: There are 6 data items so median is mean average of middle two: median = (77 + 84) / 2 = 80 ½ = 80.5 Mode: the most frequent, it the number which occurs the most often. There can be more than one mode: mode = 76 as there are two of them and only 1 of all the other numbers. Range: the difference between the greatest and least numbers: range = 89 - 76 = 13

What is the mode for data set 11 12 13?

The mode is the data set element(s) that is(are) repeated the most. If every data set element occurs the same number of times, there is no mode. As there is only one occurrence of each data set element in {11, 12, 13} there is no mode. If your data set read {11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 12} your mode would be 12. If your data set read {11, 12, 12, 13, 13} your modes would be 12 & 13.
