it is a simple equation used to display peak times, peak areas, etc. it pretty much just counts the total of hours that were worked on a single shift.

etc.

In one hour, 11 employees were working.

The same hour, the sales were $3100.

You would simply divide the sales by the hours worked in the time period.

So for this example the SPMH is $281.81.
