The answer is 90.To find the average;Add the numbers together (92+85+91+89+93 = 450)Divide this total by how many numbers you have (450 / 5 = 90)The answer is your average or mean.
Y / 6 = 92 92 * 6 = Y 92 * 6 = 552 90 + 98 + 96 + 94 + 85 = 463 552 - 463 = 89 Answer: 89
19 between the two numbers.
90
The mode is the number that appears the most often. In this case it is 57.
It is 89.
It is 88.9 (89*3 + 92*3 + ....... 85*1) / 11 = 88.9
The answer is 90.To find the average;Add the numbers together (92+85+91+89+93 = 450)Divide this total by how many numbers you have (450 / 5 = 90)The answer is your average or mean.
At a certain high school, the respective weights for the following subjects are: Mathematics 3, English 3, History 2, Science 2 and Art 1. What is a student's average whose marks were the following: Geometry 89, American Literature 92, American History 94, Biology 81, and Sculpture 85? ANSWER weight for math = 3=w1 weight for English = 3=w2 that for history = 2=w3 that for science = 2 =w4 that for arts = 1=w5 total of weight = w = w1 +w2 + w3+ w4 +w5 = 3+3+2+2+1=11 geometry mark = 89 American literature = 92 American history = 94 Biology = 81 sculpture = 85 so average = ((89*w1)+(92*W2)+(94*W3)+(81*w4)+(85*w5)/(w1+w2+w3+w4+w5) =((89*3)+(92*3)+(94*2)+(81*2)+(85*1)/(w1+w2+w3+w4+w5) =978/11=88.909

The average of two numbers is the number directly between the two. For example, the average of 85 and 89 is 87, because 87 is directly between 85 and 89. The number directly between two numbers is half of the count from one number to the other, added to the lesser number. Starting from 85 and going to 89, you count four numbers (86, 87, 88, 89). Half of four is two, and two added to 85 is 87. To find the average of more than two numbers, I often subtract a certain amount from a greater number and add the same amount to a lesser number until I can see the average. For example, to find the average of 100, 90, 85 and 89, I would start by changing the 100 to 95 and the 85 to 90. So then we have 95, 90, 90 and 89. Since there's a difference of six from 89 to 95, I would take three from 95 and add it to 89, making 92, 92, 90 and 90. Now I see that each pair of 92 and 90 could be changed to a pair of 91's. Since the average of 91, 91, 91 and 91 is 91, the average of 100, 90, 85 and 89 is 91. No calculator needed.
92 = 81 and 102 = 100
meanAdd up the numbers and divide by how many there are: 87+75+89+81+90+73+85+96+65+92+78+79+83+85+79+90+86+72+74+88+81+85 = 1813There are 22 numbers.⇒ mean = 1813 ÷ 22= 829/22≈ 82.41medianSort the numbers into order; the median is the middle number (if an odd number of numbers) or the mean of the middle two (if an even number of numbers): Sorted: 65, 72, 73, 74, 75, 78, 79, 79, 81, 81, 83, 85, 85, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 90, 92, 96There are 22, so the median is the mean of the middle two which are the 11th (83) and 12th (85) numbers:⇒ median = (83+85) ÷2= 84modeThe number which appears the most often. Having sorted the list for the median, it can be seen that the one with the highest frequency appears three times: ⇒ mode = 85
Sum = 678 Count = 8 So Average = Sum/Count = 678/8 = 84.75
