The difference between a hypothesis and a conjecture is that a hypothesis is something investigated or accepted as highly probable in the light established facts and a conjecture is the formation or expression of an opinion or theory without sufficient evidence for proof.

What is the Riemann hypothesis?

The Riemann Hypothesis was a conjecture(a "guess") made by Bernhard Riemann in his groundbreaking 1859 paper on Number Theory. The conjecture has remained unproven even today. It states the "The real part of the non trivial zeros of the Riemann Zeta function is 1/2"

What conjecture can you make about the relationship between multiplying decimals and whole numbers?

You can make whatever conjecture that you want: it does not have to be true or even logical. You could conjecture that the relationship is like the one between the Sun and the Earth!

What is the null hypothesis of a one way ANOVA What is the alternate hypothesis?

When writing hypotheses the null hypothesis is generally the hypothesis stating that there will be no significant difference between the variables you are testing. An alternate hypothesis would be a hypothesis suggesting that the results will be anything other than not significant. For example if you were testing three concentrations (low, medium, and high) of a type of medication on cancer cells, then one example of an alternate hypothesis would be that the medium concentration would decrease the number of viable cancer cells.

How is the null hypothesis of the independent samples t test verbalized?

The null hypothesis of the independent samples t-test is verbalized by either accepting or rejecting it due to the value of the t-test. If the value is less than 0.05 it is accepted and greater than 0.05 is rejecting it.

How do you write a conjecture about the sum of two fractions?

A conjecture is an opinion based on incomplete information, or a guess. It need not be true - or even sensible. So my conjecture is that the sum of two fractions is greater than three quarters. That is a nonsensical conjecture, but it is a conjecture and that is what the question requires.
