8:3 - chose a factor to scale it up by: say 2. Then multiple both sides by that number. So you get 16:6. You can do this again on the new ratio. Take 1.5 as a scale - you get 16×1.5 = 24 and you get 6×1.5 = 9. That makes 24:9 these are all equal to 8:3
