so you have to find the LCM

or the least common multiple

which in this case is 15

so 2/3 becomes 10/15 and 3/5 becomes 9/15

you add them up and its equal to 19/15

then turn it into a mixed number by dividing 19 by 15

so it is 1 and 4/15
