To run a 13-minute mile you will need to average 4.62 miles per hour for the whole 13 minutes.
You need to run at an average speed of 15 mph.
you want your speed to be 1mile/12 minutes . This has units of miles per minute. To change to miles per hour you write 12 minutes as 1/5 of an hour. Then your speed is; 1mile/(1/5)hrs. Invert and multiply to get 5 miles/1 hrs or 5 miles per hr.
Well, isn't that a lovely little puzzle! If the train is 1 mile long and it's traveling at 1 mile per minute, it will take a total of 2 minutes for the train to completely pass through the 1-mile tunnel. Just imagine the train chugging along steadily, enjoying the journey through the tunnel, and coming out the other side with a happy little toot of its whistle.
erm 1 mile ?

You walk
You need to know the speed in per second. Then speed is distance over time
You need to run at an average speed of 15 mph.
Yes, you can. If the average speed for the first mile is 30 mph, and the average speed for the second mile is 90 mph, then 30+90=120/2=60. You need to solve the equation for average speed, not time. You can't. 1 mile @ 30mph = 2 minutes 60 mph for 2 miles = 2 mintes thererfore you cannot go fast enough (or you could go infinity mph)
I would try increasing your speed by .5 mph each week. I'm trying to do the same thing but I'm struggling through a 14 min mile. Good luck!
You need to convert the minutes to seconds. Then, simply divide the distance (meters) by the time in seconds.
A 5.45 mile distance is not a speed itself, but a measure of distance. In order to calculate speed in mph, you need to know the time it took to cover that distance. Speed is distance divided by time.
You need to travel at an average speed of (7.9 miles per 17 minutes).Since your speedometer is probably not graduated in compatible units,we'll convert it to a more popular unit:(7.9 mile / 17 minute) x (60 minute / hour) = 27.882miles per hour (rounded)
1 mile in 4 minutes = 15 miles per hour
If you went at a speed of a mile a minute, or 60 mph, you would travel 25 miles in 25 minutes. For 10 miles in this time you only have to travel at 2/5 of that speed, or 24 mph.
