His calculator, Pascal's triangle...
- Gman
After many research I've come to think that Blaise Pascal was married to Antoinette Arnold. I had to figure this out for a school project, and most of other answers say he was married to Gilbert Pascal, who is really his sister, Jacqueline Pascal, his other sister, Antoinette Begon, his mother (died when Blaise was 3), or Etienne Pascal, his father. But after half an hour I have enough evidence to say that Antoinette Arnold was in fact his wife.

Marin Mersenne (1588-1648) was a monk in France who studied science, especially mathematics. He made some important discoveries in mathematics and musical theory. Some people suggest that his most important contribution to science and mathematics was his correspondence with other scholars. His work on prime numbers of the form 2n-1 resulted in their being known as Mersenne primes.

Blaise Pascal's most important contribution to the future of computers was the invention of the Pascaline, a mechanical calculator he developed in 1642. This early calculating machine could perform addition and subtraction, laying foundational concepts for later computing devices. Pascal's work in mathematics, particularly in probability theory and the development of the binary number system, also significantly influenced the field of computer science.
