The Council didn't think that Grover passed his test to deliver a half-blood safely to Camp Half Blood. The bus later smashes into a tree, and while the other passangers and driver on the bus get off, Percy, Annabeth and Grover try to defeat the monsters. When Percy 'insults' Zeus, Zeus sends down a lightning bolt and destroys the bus. Percy, Annabeth and Grover made it out safely though.
