Best Answer

The 9 foot ceiling is simply one more foot in height above the previously stated 8 foot ceiling. One could assume that a man who is 8'7" could only comfortably live under a 9 foot ceiling.

How many pavers would you need if the pavers are 8 inches x 16 inches and you need to cover a patio area that is 10 feet x 8 feet?

Area of each tile = 8/12 ft x 16/12 ft = 8/9 sq ft Area to be covered = 10 ft x 8 ft = 80 sq ft So number of tiles required = 80/ (8/9) = 80*(9/8) = 90 tiles.
