For two rational numbers select any terminating or repeating decimal number which starts with 2.10 and for Irrational Numbers you require a non-terminating, non-repeating decimal which also starts with 2.10.

To the smaller of the two starting numbers, add a rational number thatis sufficiently small (to get a rational number), or add an irrational number (to get an irrational number. You can construct irrational numbers of any size, by dividing them by a rational number. For example, if you add 2.1 + pi, the result is outside the bounds specified; but instead of adding pi, you can add pi/10, pi/100, etc.
