The volume of a 55-gallon drum is approximately 7.35 cubic feet. The volume of a crushed aluminum can is roughly 0.0019 cubic feet. Dividing the volume of the drum by the volume of a crushed can gives us approximately 3,868 crushed aluminum cans that can fit in a 55-gallon drum.

Well, isn't that a delightful question! It really depends on how flat you crush those cans, but on average, you can fit around 1,500 crushed aluminum cans in a 55-gallon drum. Just imagine all the wonderful recycling you're doing by saving up all those cans! Happy recycling, my friend.

Well, honey, let me break it down for you. A standard 55-gallon drum can hold approximately 875 crushed aluminum cans. So, if you're looking to recycle those bad boys, you better start crushing and stacking. Just remember, the more cans you fit in there, the more cash you'll get back.

How many 1-gallon cans will fit in a 55-gallon drum?

To determine how many 1-gallon cans will fit in a 55-gallon drum, you need to divide the total volume of the drum by the volume of each can. Since there are 128 fluid ounces in a gallon, a 1-gallon can is equivalent to 128 fluid ounces. Therefore, a 55-gallon drum is equal to 55 x 128 = 7040 fluid ounces. If we divide 7040 by 128, we find that approximately 55 1-gallon cans can fit in a 55-gallon drum.

If you have two drums one is three gallons and the other is five if you have an unlimited supply of water but need to get exactly four gallons how could you do it?

Fill the 5-gallon drum. Pour the contents into the 3-gallon drum, filling it. Now you have 2 gallons left in the big one.Empty the 3-gallon drum. Pour the 2 gallons into it. At this point there is room for one more gallon. Now refill the 5-gallon drum and pour off as much as it takes to fill up the small one. That means you are removing one gallon. Now you have exactly 4 gallons in the 5-gallon drum.or Fill the 3 gallon drum. Pour the contents into the 5 gallon drum. Refill the the 3 gallon drum and pour the contents into the 5 gallon drum until it is full. Empty the 5 gallon drum. You have 1 gallon left in the 3 gallon drum. Pour the remaining 1 gallon into the 5 gallon drum. Re-fill the 3-gallon drum and pour that into the 5 gallon drum giving you 4 gallons. or Tip the 5 gallon drum and fill it until water is level to both the bottom and spilling out the top; next do the same with the 3 gallon drum; then pour the half full 3 gallon drum into the half full 5 gallon drum, rusulting in 2.5 plus 1.5 equals 4 gallons! orWatch Die Hard 3 for the answer.
