If you have a pyramid shape, you calculate the volume by the formula: volume = (1/3)Bh (where "B" is the base area - in the case of a lake, that would presumably be the surface area), and "h" is the perpendicular height (in this case, the depth of the lake).This will give you the volume in units which are the cube of the units of length used - for example, if you used feet for the depth and square feet for the surface area, the volume will be in cubic feet. You will then need to convert that to gallons.
