∙ 6y agoWe'll overlook the fact that no caterpillar can travel 15 inches per second (unless it's falling off a table). In this theoretical scenario, whatever travels 15 inches per second would travel 1800 inches in 120 seconds (2 minutes) if it can maintain that speed.

∙ 6y agoThat is a very fast caterpillar! It will go 120 inches (10 feet) in 2 minutes.
30 minutes
(6 meters/second) x (4 minutes) x (60 second/minute) = 1,440 meters
At 10 miles per hour, a car will travel 52800 feet in an hour. Divide by 60 minutes and the car will travel about 800 feet per minute or 14.66 feet per second.
Nope 36000 /60 minutes /60 seconds = 10 miles per second.
60 - seconds in a minute. X 40 - meters per second. ----------------------------------- 2400 - meters per minute X 2 - minutes ---------------------------------- 4800 meters in 2 minutes.
determine the units of a caterpillar's speed if you measure the distance the caterpillar travels in centimeters and the time it takes to travels this distance in minute

It would take approximately 16.67 minutes to travel 1000 miles if you are traveling at 1 mile per second. This calculation is based on dividing 1000 miles by 60 seconds (which equals 16.67 minutes).
It will travel ten feet.
