Well, I'm Rather Certain this is a Trick Question, but if one took 16 toothpicks, and laid them side by side, kinda like this: //////////////// Then looked for the middle, one would end with this: //////// //////// as you can see for yourself, to the right and to the left of the Mean, there are exactly 8 toothpicks. That would make 16 toothpicks, or 16 as a number, Even in my Book. Now tell me why I'm not correct. 16 is an even number because it is divisible by 2. and as you can see by the above Toothpick example, there are indeed 2 divisions. And this is the last time I take advice from Sarah Palin with regards to the Virtue of long, Drawn out explanations,, But yes the simple explanation is sometimes the best. Thanks for Correcting me.

16 is an even number. Even numbers are divisible by 2, and 16 / 2 = 8.

odd

Even because anything ending in 0,2,4,6,8, is even and if it ends in 1,3,5,7,9, it is odd
