A negative number divided by a negative number will be positive. So our answer will be positive.

-100/-10 = 100/10

Next for every terminal zero (zero at the end of a number) in the numerator (top of the fraction) you can cancel a terminal zero in the denominator (bottom of the fraction).

100/10 = 10/1

A numerator with a one in the denominator is equal to just the numerator:

10/1 = 10

The answer is -100/-10 = 10

Note, when referring to a negative number in "word form", instead of saying minus, it's best to use the word negative. -500 should be said negative five hundred not minus five hundred.
