You have 4m of cloth. Each meter costs 0.75p. So you just multiply 4 times 0.75 to figure out how much the whole thing would cost. Or, you could think of it this way: 0.75 is the same as 3/4. 3/4 times 4 is 12/4 or 3. The cloth would cost 3p.
