Human brain is a wonder. It starts processing the information gathered through sensory perceptions since birth, probably. It is most irritating to process the information beyond the perception for every body including myself. For example if you divide one by two, you get half. You again divide it by 2 you get 1/4. Then 1/8. Then 1/16. Then 1/32. Then at forty sixth step you get 1/703,687,441,776,64. Now you are very near to zero. With each step you go close to zero. As your speed/distance becomes half. You multiply the above figure with 703,687,441,776,64 and you again get the number 1. If you multiply this figure with zero then you do not get one but you get zero. So this fraction is not zero. So if you take such 1000 steps, you will get very large denominator. In such case you just dismiss the figure as negligible and tend to call it as zero. You have million or billion or trillion digit figure as denominator. Still you can revert to number 1 by multiplying this fraction with the same figure. So again this figure is 'not' zero. Now as your imagination fail to note the size of the fraction, you call it zero. But again this is not true. You can not get 1 number by multiplying zero with any number. So this process approaches the zero. But you can not quote the denominator which will make it zero. Even trillion* trillion digit will not make it zero. You go on writing as many trillions as you want. You do not get the figure zero. Same is true for infinite also. You multiply 2 by 2. You get 4. Then 8, then 16, then 32. At forty six step you get the figure 703,687,441,776,64. Your super computer will refuse to give you figure at trillion step. But this is not the end of the story. So as you can not imagine the very large figure, you call it infinite. But you can not quote the figure for infinite. You can not make difference between say 7,000,000,000 and say 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. First figure is about the population of the earth. Second being the population of the bacteria on the earth. It is your presumption that you can know the difference. The fact remains that human brain can count the number of zeros. It fails to understand the actual difference between the two numbers.

So when ever it comes to process the information beyond perception, you tend to neglect the same by either calling it zero or infinite. So to accept the ignorance hurts one's ego. It hurt my ego also, to admit the same.

How do you write a fraction as a decimal and a percent?

-- A fraction is just a shorthand way of writing a division problem. When you see a fraction, it means (the top number) divided by (the bottom number). -- Take the fraction. Set up the division problem, and do the division. -- The answer to the division is the decimal form of the fraction. -- Take the decimal form. Move the decimal point in it two places to the right. Now you have the percent that's equal to the fraction.

What do you turn the second fraction into in a dividing problem?

When dividing by a fraction, the second fraction (the divisor) is changed into its reciprocal by swapping the numerator and denominator over (turning it upside down) and then it is multiplied by the first number (fraction).

If the divisor is not a factor of the dividend, then the quotient will be either a fraction or a mixed number.

How do you write a number as a fraction on a keyboard?

To write a number as a fraction on a keyboard, you can use the forward slash (/) to separate the numerator and denominator. For example, to represent the fraction one-half, you would type "1/2". If you need to indicate a mixed number, you can write it as "1 1/2". Some word processing software also allows for superscript and subscript formatting for a more traditional fraction appearance.
