When one is doubled, the other is doubled.
If the variables are inversely related, doubling one will half the other.
For two variables that are inversely related, if one variable is doubled, the other variable will decrease to half of its original value. This is because the product of the two variables remains constant when they are inversely related. Therefore, doubling one variable results in a proportional decrease in the other variable to maintain that constant relationship.

Dependent upon the variables, you need to take into consideration factors that can affect the outcome of the result; what will make the result vary in any way. If this, for example, entails the variable to be kept constant time, you will monitor the time and repeat it throughout the experiment. This is my understanding of constant variables; hope this helped.
The other variable is doubled
If the variables are inversely related, doubling one will half the other.
In direct proportion to the variation.
When 100 of anything is doubled, the result is 200 of them.
The size of the United States nearly doubled
The Civil Right's Movement helped to restart the women's rights movement in the 1960s and 1970s. The number of women in the workforce doubled from 1950 to 2000 as a direct result of the women's rights movement.

coefficients that measure the efficiency of predation - for the prey, it is the proportion of encounters that result in the death of a prey individual; for the predator, it is the proportion of encounters that result in the death of a prey individual multiplied by the proportion of a new predator individual contributed by a prey individual.
... roughly doubled in size

1) I learned that you can have as many variables as you want. 2) You can change the variables. 3) Variables is used in an experiment. 4) A variable is something that can be changed, such as a characteristic or value. Variables are generally used in Psychology experiments to determine if changes to one thing result in changes to another.
