The first person known to have used probability and mathematics to predict offspring was Gregor Mendel. In the mid-1800s, Mendel studied the inheritance of seven characteristics in pea plants, in which each characteristic had only two forms, e.g., white or purple flowers, round or wrinkled seeds, and tall or short stems. Through these studies, he developed three laws of heredity; the law of segregation, the law of independent assortment, and the law of dominance. The chromosome theory of inheritance, developed in the early 1900s, explains the mechanism underlying the laws of Mendelian inheritance.

the instruments in mathematics
Mathematics in cooking can be used to calculate the proper amount of material or ingredients that are to be used in a recipe
Contemporary mathematics refers to mathematics in general application and can be used anytime, anywhere and regardless of who uses it. In general, business mathematics and mathematics of investment may be well classified under this category.
Bootstrapping is used in the statistics side of mathematics. Bootstrapping is a method which is used to assign measures of accuracy to sample estimates.

when working with science, the tool you use to predict the possible traits an offspring might have is called an Punnett Square.

A Punnett square, which is a simple diagram used to predict the possible genotypes and phenotypes of offspring based on the genotypes of the parents.
Yes, a Punnett square is a tool used in genetics to predict the possible outcomes of a genetic cross between two organisms. It helps determine the probability of different genetic combinations in the offspring.
the punnet square is used for combining genes of two people or animals to predict the outcome of an offspring
Gregor Mendel created/used punnett squares in order to predict the genotypes and phenotypes of offspring.

A Punnett square is a grid diagram used to predict the possible genetic outcomes of a cross between two individuals. It shows the different combinations of alleles that offspring may inherit from their parents.
Probability formulas can be used to predict the probabilities that specific alleles will be passed on to offspring.
