  1. Take your current age in years
  2. Multiply that by 365
  3. Add one for each leap-year that you've lived through
  4. Add the number of days since your last birthday (including today)
  5. Multiply by 24
  6. Subtract the hour during which you were born (24 hour time)
  7. Add the current hour (again, 24 hour time)
  8. Multiply by 60
  9. Subtract the minute during which you were born
  10. Add the current minute

For example, I'm 33 years old, so I start with that:

  1. Start with 33
  2. 33 * 365 = 12045
  3. The leap years I lived through so far are: 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2004, and 2008. That's 7, so I add it to my tally:

    12045 + 7 = 12052

  4. My birthday is the 14th of November, and today is the 8th of April, so the days since my birthday (including today) would be: (30 - 14) + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 8 = 147:

    12052 + 147 = 12199

  5. 12199 * 24 = 292776
  6. I was born at 4am:

    292776 - 4 = 292772

  7. As I write this the current hour is 1900h:

    292772 + 19 = 292791

  8. 292791 * 60 = 17567460
  9. I was born five minutes after the hour:

    17567460 - 5 = 17567455

  10. As I write this, it's 55 minutes after the hour:

    17567455 + 55 = 17567510

So at this moment, I am seventeen million, five-hundred-and-sixty-seven thousand, five-hundred-and-ten minutes old.
