A seven faced body would be called a "heptahedron"

There are no regular heptahedra (with all the faces the same shape and size).

If you cut off the corner of a cube you will get a seven faced, 3 dimensional body.

What 3dimensional shape has 7 faces?

A pentagonal prism, a hexagonal pyramid, a cube with one vertex (corner) cut off, a tetrahedron with three vertices cut off - these are some of the possibilities.

Which has more sides a shape with six vertices or a shape with seven vertices?

The number of vertices does not determine the number of faces. If the shape with 6 vertices was a quadrilateral based bipyramid, it would have 8 faces. A hexagonal based pyramid has 7 vertices and 7 faces. So more vertices does not necessarily imply more faces.

What is a 3d shape with 9 faces called?

A 3D shape with nine faces is called a "nonagon prism." In this geometry, the two bases are nonagons (nine-sided polygons), and there are additional rectangular faces connecting the corresponding sides of the two bases. This results in a total of nine faces: two nonagonal faces and seven rectangular lateral faces.

In a prism what shape are the faces that are not the base?

lateral faces
