Make a t-chart and choose your x values. There must me a negative, zero, and positive. Only three numbers. I like to choose -1, 0, 1. They are really easy to solve.

Then, plug it in!

y=-1+4; y=3

y=0+4; y=4

y=1+4; y=5

Your coordinate pairs would be: (-1, 3), (0, 4), (1, 5)

Then make your graph. The x values go on the x-axis (the horizontal line) and the y values go on the y-axis (the vertical line). So the first coordinate pair would go 1 to the left and three up from that point. Make a dot where the value is.

Connect your dots with a line. Tada! You're done!

How can you translate the graph of y equals x to obtain the graph of y equals x-4 plus 2?

y equals x-4 plus 2 is the same as y = x-2. You just translate the graph of y=x, 2 units to the right, OR 2 down.

Find the slope of a parellel to the graph of y equals 4x plus 2?

The graph of [ y = 4x + 2 ] is a straight line with a slope of 4.Any line with a slope of 4 is parallel to that one, and any line parallel to that one has a slope of 4.

How do you graph equation y equals x plus 4?

y=x+4 To graph this, you need to find the y-intercept in the equation which is 4. Plot that on the graph by going up 4 from the origin (0,0). Next, go right one, up one and plot. Then, right one, up one again.

The graph of that equation is a circle, centered at the origin, with radius = 2 .

How do you graph the equation yx plus 4?

That's not an equation, so there's nothing to graph. Simple way to tell: There's no "equals" sign in it.
