You left out any signs. is this +127? +4896
Normal methods of factoring a trinomial do not work. So this would be referred to as prime.
You can set it equal to zero and use the quadratic formula to find solutions. I'll refer to these as x = A and x = B
Use these to write factors (x-A)(x-B) and you will have your factored form.
My guess is that the answers are imaginary, NOT real nor integers.
Using the quadratic equation formula the solutions are:- x = -27.0382854 and x = 90.5382854
Are you sure you typed this correctly? Using normal methods this not factorable -- it si PRIME for the integers. You can use the quadratic formula, but that gives irrational answers for this quadratic.
Assuming you mean 2x2 -127 x -4896: trying to factor using integers. This is PRIME.
Show the terms as additive here..., 8X2 + 10X3 factor out 2X2 2X2(4 + 5X) ---------------- 2X2 ==== greatest common factor
(2x2 - 1)(2x2 - 1) or (2x2 - 1)2
2x2 (i.e. 4)
2x2 - 5x + 12 does not factor. 2x2 - 5x - 12 factors into (2x + 3)(x - 4) 2x2 + 5x - 12 factors into (2x - 3)(x + 4)
2x2 - 13x - 7 = (2x + 1)(x - 7)
2x2-x-6 = (2x+3)(x-2)
2x2- 2x = 2x*(x - 1)
the prime factorization of 32 is 2x2x2x2x2 and the factor tree is 32 8 4 2x4 2x2 2x2
