You multiply the number by the numerator of the fraction and divide the number so obtained by the denominator of the fraction.

e.g. 6 x 3/2 = 18 / 2 = 9

or you can also divide by denominator first and then multiply by numerator.

6 x 3/2 = 3 x 3 = 9
