If in an original mint holder or slabbed to authenticate its condition, a 2005 buffalo nickel might retail for 25 to 50 cents. They're going for more on eBay but those prices are from someone hoping to find a buyer willing to pay an above-market price.

A "1923" in circulated condition is worth about $7-$8, un-circulated could be worth more than $30,000.00.

The letter you see is an "E". James Earle Fraser the designer of the coin. And all Buffalo Nickels have it. 1935 is a very common date, coins in circulated condition have retail values of 25 cents to $3.00.
