No. I'm not sure if there's a word for what it is (though "blindingly obvious" comes to mind). In logic, it would be a tautology; I don't know if the same word can be applied to algebra as well.
11x = 8x-6.............. 11x-8x = -6................... 3x= -6 x = -2
2x + 6 + 9x = 39 11x + 6 = 39 11x = 39 - 6 11x = 33 x = 3
-3x + 6 + 15x =11x + 8 ie -3x + 15x - 11x = 8 - 6 ie x = 2
11x - 21 = 7x + 3 4x = 24x = 6
It is: -4x^2 +11x -6 equals (-4x+3)(x-2) when factored
x2 + 11x + 30 = 0 (x + 5)(x + 6) = 0 so the roots are -5 and -6
6 + 11x - 60 =6 - 60 + 11x = -54 + 11x = 11x -54
It is an equation and the value of x is 6
(x+5)(x+6) equals x^2 +11x+30
x^2 + 11x + 6 has no rational zeros.
6-x+12 = 10x+7 6+12-7 = 10x+x 11 = 11x x = 1
-4x2 + 11x - 6 factors to: (-4x + 3) (x - 2)
