Saint Germaine Cousin died in the year 1601 in her parents' home in Pibrac, France, apparently of natural causes, at the age of 22. We do not know the precise date but it was in early summer. Among other things, she is the patron saint of abused children.
There are several but one of the better know was St. Germaine Cousin. She was born sickly and badly deformed. Her mother died when she was quite young and her father's new wife hated her and treated her quite badly.She was born in 1579 in Pibrac, France, and died there in 1601. She was canonized by Pope Blessed Pius IX on June 29, 1867.
