3.14.
Pi times pi equals 9.869604401089358 (to 15 decimal places). The square value 9.8696 is commonly used.If you use (pi)2 = 10 in your calculations, your answer is only wrong by about 1.3% .
If you use the wrong value for pi, you will get wrong, and possibly contradictory, results. If you use the wrong value for pi, you will get wrong, and possibly contradictory, results. If you use the wrong value for pi, you will get wrong, and possibly contradictory, results. If you use the wrong value for pi, you will get wrong, and possibly contradictory, results.
Pi is an experimentally found value that always works for circles, so we use it. Mathematical pi is not pie. it is a Greek letter pi.
Pi is equal to 3.1425. . . . so in Algebra and math we just use the first three digits: 3.14 you just round it. That is the commonly used number even on calculators but be careful the calculator rounds it anyway on your answer usually up!!
It is an approximate value for pi
The first person to use pi is the awesome man Archimedes he was the first to compute pi's value accurately! I know this answer and I'm in 5th grade!:)
3.14 There is no exact value of pi. It goes on forever. But if you round it, it would be 3.14159265. An estimate of pi is 22/7, or 3 and 1/7. Like said earlier there is no exact value but if you are dealing with fractions use 22/7 but is you are sing decimals use 3.14 or the pi key on your calculator
The area of a circle is its diameter times the value of PI. In most cases you can safely use the 3.14159 for the value of PI
its a very long reason why pi is 3.14 but that's just the way it is- pi is 3.14 and that's that :)
3.14159 or 22/7.
3 1/7 and 3 10/71
The value of Pi is 3.14 so the value of Pi by 2 is 6.28.
