3x+2y = 1 2y = -3x+1 y = -1.5x+0.5
1 and 2
The y-intercept of y=3x+1 is at the point (0,1)(i worked it out on a graphics calculator my apologies if you needed working out.)
x intercept: -4 1/3 y intercept: 13
y-intercept is 10 slope is 3 over 1
y = 3x-1 The y intercept is -1 y = 3x-11 The y intercept is -11
3x+4y = 4 4y = -3x+4 y = -3/4x+1 So the slope is -3/4 and the intercept is 1
-3x+9y = 6 9y = 3x+6 y = 1/3x+2/3
If: 3x+4y = 4 Then: y = -3/4x+1 and so the slope is -3/4 or -0.75 with a y intercept of 1
For the y-intercept, substitute x = 0 in the equation of the line: so 4y - 1 = 0 and so y = 1/4
y equals -1/3x plus 4/3
