The first three prime numbers (2, 3, and 5) are unique in that all other primes, starting with 7, can be constructed from them using the formula x^n * y^n +or- z^n, where x=2; y=3; and z=5. This formula generates the set of all numbers not divisible by 2, 3 or 5, which, by definition, includes all primes >5 (For example, x^2 * y - z, or 2^2 * 3 - 5 = 7).
